Redwood Hill Townhomes is on an Oakland site that was identified for affordable housing but has remained undeveloped for more than a decade. On August 9, 2013, SAHA entered into an option to purchase agreement with the current owner Community Assets Inc., giving SAHA control of the site. The City of Oakland is supportive of SAHA’s recent application for IIG funding and obtainment of site control from CAI. The proposed development is 28 units of family housing, with two and three stories wood frame construction and one podium building. Rents will range from 30%-50% AMI. Features will include a community clubhouse, vegetable boxes and bay-friendly landscaping.
