Volunteer at one of our community gardens!

Spring is here and SAHA is buzzing with grand openings, expanded community gardens and a big office move! Thanks to your support, we are creating more affordable homes and opportunities for people most in need.

We're Moving!

As of June 15, 2015, SAHA will move in to our new offices at 1835 Alcatraz, Berkeley, CA 94703, just three blocks from Ashby BART station. Our phone numbers and email will stay the same. Our new 12,000 s.f. home will allow us to grow our impact and services, while remaining centrally located to the communities we serve. Stay tuned for a housewarming party!

New Homes

On May 14th, SAHA joined with partners, neighbors, residents and Mayor Simmons, to celebrate the Grand Opening of Arboleda Apartments in Walnut Creek. The 48 homes are a mix of one, two and three bedroom apartments and townhomes for low income families and people with special needs. Read this great article from the Contra Costa Times.

It's Not Too Late to Support SAHA

Join us on June 5th from 6 to 9pm at 1736 Franklin Ave in Oakland for our Building Foundations fundraiser. Don your finery and enjoy DJ, dancing and a grand feast! Tickets and sponsorships available on Eventbrite and at the door. Thanks so much to our generous sponsors!

It's Spring at SAHA's Community Gardens

This spring, SAHA, in partnership with our residents, volunteers, Area Agency on Aging, City Slicker Farms and Alameda County Public Health has revamped and expanded 15 existing and built 5 new community gardens. We have many more garden builds and revamp opportunities coming up very soon! Click here if you would like to volunteer!
